Time for a healthy recipe again! You loved it when I uploaded some pics on my IG stories and many of you asked me about it! And I was more than happy to share this Baked Banana oatmeal recipe with you! I am a lover of anything healthy but at the same time sweet! And this one came out pretty good! It looks and tastes like a cake, but it’s not! I have mentioned this before but in the morning I am craving something sweet and not savory. Fruits, honey etc. I found a similar recipe and I wanted to try it out. It takes some time to be ready so I suggest you do it on a less busy morning.
The preparation is easy and quick and then you put the mixture in the oven for a few minutes. And voilà! It’s best to eat it that very moment, while it is warm from the oven! Omg I am thinking about it right now and I am so hungry!
Baked Banana Oatmeal Recipe
1,5 cup raw oatmeal (quaker oatmeal) (* when I say cup, I mean a pot, you know? I used my tea cup as a measurer!)
2 teaspoon of brown sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
3 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 Tablespoon of oil
1 cup of milk (I used soya milk)
1 dark chocolate (100gr)
In one big bowl, you will add all of the solid ingredients(oatmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon). In a different bowl add the bananas and mash them up. You don’t have to create a pulp. Leave pieces of the bananas, unless you want to mash them up completely. I didn’t. Then add the oil and two eggs and start mixing them up.
Once you have created an even maze, start pouring the milk. Once you have finished, add this mixture into the bowl of oats and slowly start stirring them. if it gets too liquidy add some oats, if otherwise add some milk. At this point preheat the oven at 180°C. While the oven is warming up I started cutting into small pieces the chocolate. Once I was done, I added them to the mixture and mixed them up.
Take a pan, add paper liners and spread the mixture evenly on it! Put it in the oven for 30 min (approximately)until there is a light brown color on it and voilà! So easy right? If there is some left, you can store in in the refrigerator and heat ii in the microwave the next day. But it would be better if you eat it all, while is still hot from the oven!
Healthy, gluten free, fat free, the baked banana oatmeal recipe is easy and delicious too!
